25th Anniversary Countdown: 2012

On December 8, 2023, Digital Rain, llc goes Silver, celebrating 25 years in business. How did we get here? Since December 2022 we have been counting up each year.

2012 – Like many other businesses, things were starting to pick up again after the great recession. Danville was a lucky place to be for Digital Rain. Another company, GoPro, was celebrating an anniversary by giving away an Action Camera and all the accessories everyday. After several days of trying, in September, Rodney was a winner, expanding the company’s video recording abilities. 

The year stated out with the Superbowl coming to town, and Rodney got some great opportunities to work on the Big Game, including production crew for the Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials, the Sand Pro-Am Football Game, and a Katy Perry Concert. It would also be the longest day Rodney every worked, starting Saturday Morning at 8am and going until 2am Sunday Morning. 
Rodney also directed the live event, Super Baskets of Hope that raised money for Riley Children’s Hospital, Brand Accelerator and the Danville Downtown Partnership.
